Art in the Stairwell Taskforce
To encourage the use of the stairs for environmental and health reasons, we propose making them a more pleasant place by displaying the artwork of our researchers.
Benjamin Zarov (Patan Lab) believes fundamental research is crucial for advancing healthcare and improving the quality of human life. In his creative life, he dreams to use machine learning, specifically reinforcement learning, to teach a robot to be his painting collaborator.

Alexandra Leighton (Open E-Phys Production Site) did her PhD in Neuroscience in Amsterdam and moved to Lisbon to work to promote and facilitate the use of open source tools in Neuroscience. Alex enjoys the freedom of abstract painting and has had artwork featured in Scientific American.

Esha Madan (Cell Fitness Lab) is a cancer biologist who embraces and dabbles into artwork/painting on canvas using acrylics and oil paints. It helps her keep a good work-life balance and enhances her productivity as a Scientist for being innovative, creative, and vibrant at the same time.
