In 2021, the Champalimaud Foundation (CF) President suggested the engagement of the Green Team @ CCU with the Oceano Azul Foundation (AOF) in the scope of the Rise Up Blue Call to Action initiative.

 

The team has reviewed the initiative and its ambitious and commendable goals, and supported the intention of the CF to sign up. The GT’s Steering Committee met with OAF in October 2021, in order to establish the partnership and envisage its potential effects.

In June 2022, in the context of the UN Ocean Conference that took place in Lisbon, CF officially signed the Rise Up Blue Call to Action.

​

The Green Team is excited with the prospect of creating a positive impact on one of our nearest Lisbon neighbours, the ocean.
